No matter how you look at it this Saturday Night’s Wolfpack Hustle 6th Street Bridge Drag Race is sure to blow your mind. Recalling the glory days of hot rod racing along the LA river, a new generation is burning rubber at top speeds and creating heroes (and maybe even a few villains).
We’re big fans of the Wolfpack Hustle race events. Not only are they the most exciting thing happening in American cycling these days, they’re culturally relevant with a completely equal weight given to female competitors. If you were lucky enough to attend the Civic Center Crit in June, you know the food trucks and vendors are like the urban bike block party you always wanted to go to. So we’re thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up with Orange 20 Bikes, LA Bike Trains, the new Helio cafe (formerly Cafecito Organico) and SCOOPS ice cream to represent all the great bicycle culture in Central LA.
If you’re into food, you know SCOOPS is the most delicious & unique ice cream/sorbet on the planet. The food genius behind the SCOOPS is the reclusive Tai Kim who is making a special Orange 20 flavor and appearance to help raise money for Red#5 Yellow#7: a bicycle gallery. $2-5 donation for limited edition flavor on a hot night. More details tba on the facebook page.
Conductors for LA Bike Trains will be around to answer questions, get non-racers excited about bikes(!) for transportation & take sign ups for their 10+ routes throughout LA County.
Orange 20 Bikes will be there as an event sponsor donating prizes, providing limited bike parking, selling lights, water bottles, product demos doing flat fix repairs and answering bike questions.
